Last summer, Castle Crashers developer Behemoth announced its next game, referred to only as "Game Four." Now, the game has an official title: Pit People.
According to the studio, the title had been suggested during conceptual work on the game. "Pit People" was actually written on the first drawing for the game, well before it had evolved to its current state as a co-op turn-based adventure game.
As the developer explained, "Pit People was the name written on the original concept sketch that started it all. Every interaction took place in an arena. Over time, adventuring became a big part of the game. However, a key moment in the story now occurs in the Pit, and so the name remained! In the end, we're in the beginning!"
If you're attending San Diego Comic-Con, you can check out Behemoth's booth to play Pit People and the studio's previous games, Castle Crashers, Battleblock Theater, and Alien Hominid HD.
Recently, the developer released 20 minutes of footage from Pit People, which you can watch here. The game is planned for Xbox One and PC, but Behemoth hasn't announced a release date yet.
